Blake is a Florida native and a 2009 graduate of the University of South Florida, where he majored in Business Management, with a minor in Leadership studies. He held positions of Consul, Magister and Tribune during his time at Theta Beta. In addition to holding these positions in the chapter, he was very active in other campus organizations including Student Government, Emerging Leaders Institute, Greek Leaders Retreat, Interfraternity Council, Athletics Council, Marshall Student Center Board, and the Sundome Board of Directors to name a few. Blake joined Headquarters Staff in summer of 2010 as the original Director of Chapter Support and has been evolving the position and responsibilities ever since.
Blake was awarded some high honors during his time at USF including Greek Man of the Year, Province Balfour Winner for South Florida and Golden Bull award winner. Blake is an avid sports fan and hopes to work in Sports Management one day.
The Director of Chapter Support works within the Undergraduate Services Team to provide an added level of guidance and support to the undergraduate chapters of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Through resource development, mentorship, on-site support and remote assistance from Evanston, the purpose of the Director of Chapter Support is to ensure the progress and success of our undergraduate chapters.
Responsibilities Include
- Provide education, support, and communication to various constituents within the Sigma Chi Fraternity
- Assist undergraduate chapters with their programming and operations through on-site visits and remote communication
- Maintain and expand expertise in Sigma Chi history and procedures with an emphasis on the Ritual
- Work within the team and Headquarters Staff to develop new mechanisms and resources for aiding in the success of our chapters
- Possess a diverse knowledge of all of Sigma Chis leadership programs and workshops
- Integrate chapter strategic planning and confirm progress of said goals
- Coordinate with local and regional alumni to assist with advising of undergraduate chapters
- Chapter System inquiries including officer updates and pledge forms
