Susan utilizes her years of newspaper reporting and national magazine editing experience to continually enhance The Magazine of Sigma Chi. She has been editor since 2007, and enjoys sharing within the Fraternity's communications the stories of brothers and how they enhance their communities. She is proud of the degree of professionalism displayed by her staff within each issue of The Magazine, Preview newsletter or other editorial piece, which results in constantly improving work. Her office is lined with framed photos of Magazine covers that depict Sigma Chis greats — John Wayne, Drew Brees, Merlin Olsen, Luke Donald, and of course, inaugural International Sweetheart Barbara Tanner.
Susan has bachelor's degrees in journalism and political science and is study for her MBA, with a concentration in marketing.
An Iowa native, she enjoys summers on the Chicago beaches. She is a Sigma Kappa and is a member of the local alumnae chapter. She enjoys running and reading, and has a chocolate lab named Cassie.
