Sigma Chi Fraternity

The International Sweetheart of Sigma Chi is a woman who serves as a role model for all of our brothers, and is our Fraternity's liaison to non-members throughout the world. She must possess an understanding of the values and ideals for which the White Cross stands, and exemplify these values and ideals in her daily life.

Some tips from 2011–13 International Sweetheart Sydney Binnington on nominating your chapter sweetheart for International Sweetheart:

• Elect a brother in your chapter with the enthusiasm for this fun project to be the sweetheart chairman — maybe a new initiate or a 5th year senior who is not ready to let go of his undergraduate experience.

• Have your sweetheart chairman interview the chapter sweetheart to learn about her background and experiences.

• Work with your sweetheart to create an application that reflects her unique qualities and those of your chapter — it could be fun or serious, sentimental or silly, or a little bit of everything.

• Remember that the nomination itself is an honor for your chapter sweetheart!
