Housing Resources

Board of Grand Trustees

The Board of Grand Trustees is a volunteer board of alumni elected to six-year terms who assist house corporations and undergraduate chapters with the advice and resources to efficiently and effectively manage the properties in which the undergraduate members of Sigma Chi live. Their website provides a great deal of information and resources, and can be accessed by clicking here.

Annual Report

This is a process to help us update house corporation information and capture new housing data annually.

Outstanding House Corporation Award

This award is given annually to house corporations who practice best management and operations practices. To apply, the house corporation must have submitted a current copy of the Annual Report to Headquarters.

House Corporation Officers Training Seminar (HCOTS)

The Board of Grand Trustees presents this annual 2–3 day event devoted to the concerns of house corporations.

Topics include: Knowing Your Customer, Corporate Governance Issues, Fund Raising, How to Attract Volunteers, Chapter House Maintenance, and Risk Management. Breakout sessions allow brothers to share experiences and successes with one another.

Most of the cost of HCOTS is underwritten by Sigma Chi and is generously funded by Constantine Capital Inc. Space is limited and priority is given to house corporations that have not attended a previous seminar.
