Undergraduate Internships
The Sigma Chi Fraternity offers two, separate internship opportunities throughout the summer months. One is with the Horizons Program, the other is with Sigma Chi Headquarters (HQ) and the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (Balfour LTW).
Please read the descriptions below to see which one you are most interested in pursuing. The applications for each internship are separate, but undergraduates are allowed to apply for both opportunities. Traditionally, undergraduate members can only be accepted into one or the other each year.
Horizons Internship
The Sigma Chi Fraternity has taken great strides in continually providing leadership development opportunities for each of its undergraduate members. In addition to participation in the undergraduate Horizons program, undergraduates are also eligible to serve the Fraternity as an intern on the logistics team for an entire year after attending Horizons as a participant.
The first and primary role interns play is a liaison between Horizons participants and headquarters staff. Interns are responsible for establishing contact with each and every participant to ensure participants are adequately prepared for their session.
The interns’ secondary responsibilities include serving as a critical member of Team Aspen, the on-site logistical team, during the session. Interns will provide logistical support in addition to contributing to critical planning and development decisions that will ensure the proper, efficient and successful execution of the session.

Sigma Chi Fraternity International Headquarters (HQ) is an excellent place in which to learn and hone your professional skills while advancing the interests of our Order. Here you will find brotherhood, opportunity, responsibility, challenge and reward.
General Overview
This year, the Fraternity is offering the opportunity for five or six exceptional brothers to work as summer interns at Sigma Chi Fraternity International Headquarters in Evanston, Ill. The majority of the internships will run for 4 weeks in July, ending with Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (Balfour LTW) in August. One intern will start in June, assist with Grand Council, and end after Balfour LTW. You will have the opportunity to be involved with almost every aspect of the Fraternity's operations. Interns receive travel and eating allowances, housing, and ample time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Chicago.
