Sigma Chi Fraternity

Occuring every other summer (opposite to Grand Chapter), Grand Council is the umbrella term for the meeting of the Sigma Chi body known as "the Grand Council." This group exercises general direction and advisory powers over the Fraterniy during the recess, but subject to the enactments, of the Grand Chapter, and has the authority to amend only the Fraternity's statutues and Executive Committee Regulations. It is composed of the Grand Officers, past Grand Consuls, members of the Executive Committee, Grand Trustees, Grand Praetors, members of the Leadership Training Board, and one undergraduate from each province. Undergraduate delegates attending Grand Council elect two of their own members to serve one-year terms as representatives on the Executive Committee.

The 2012 Grand Council will take place in Cleveland. This year's theme will be "Ritual Rennisance" and will focus on renewing the values of our brotherhood.
