Caldwell Circle Donations Benefit The Strong Arms Fund

Sigs' generosity to support brothers affected by Superstorm Sandy
Dec. 7, 2012

The Sigma Chi Foundation is encouraging members to help a brother out.

Many brothers have been affected by the devastation on the East Coast caused by Superstorm Sandy. The Foundation supports the Strong Arms Fund, a scholarship benefitting brothers affected by natural disasters. Undergraduates and young alumni have the opportunity to help their fellow brothers by giving to this special fund.

Join the Caldwell Circle undergraduate giving society to contribute to the Strong Arms Fund — 100 percent of donations to the Caldwell Circle made by Dec. 31, 2012, will benefit the Strong Arms Fund and those who have been affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Lukas Meyer, DEPAUW 2013, recommended giving back to assist brothers in need. “As a Sigma Chi, I have learned so much about myself, and the incredible opportunities that I have been blessed with,” Meyer said. “I would be a fool to take Sigma Chi for granted, which is why I give back. It’s the least I can do to reciprocate what Sigma Chi has done for me.”

Adam Joiner, TARLETON STATE 2014, reminded brothers that a small donation of $18.55 may not seem huge, but it contributes to making a greater difference. “The effort of one is but one piece of the big picture,” Joiner said. “Being one piece of Sigma Chi is seeing the hard work of one growing into millions of pieces working together as one to change the world one donation at a time.”
